For my Masters of Organization Development and Change program I had to conduct a Training Needs Assessment. Fortunately, the organization I was working for at the time agreed to let me conduct the needs assessment. This project was fun because we finally implemented virtual training at our organization. It was also nice to connect what I was doing at my job with what I was learning in my Masters program.
The process I used to create the needs assessment was:
- Once receiving approval to conduct the needs assessment I chose the topic that I would be measuring.
- I decided to use Survey Monkey as my tool to collect information from the participants.
- I analyzed the results and wrote the needs assessment to present to the client with recommendations on best next steps.
